Get ready because I’m an old fan, so you’ll see some classicals here.
1. Inuyasha
My favorite. I followed the story for more than 10 years, monthly crossing town to buy the books I had delivered from Japan to a specialized bookshop in my town. Yes! It was part of the fun. The story is about a half demon who from the Feudal Era who join a modern girl to find the missing pieces of The Jewel of Four Souls (not that I think of if there’s an Outlander vibe…)
2. Ranma ½
This is from the same author as Inuyasha. This is a story about a boy who is cursed to become a girl every time he is splashed with cold water. He is supposed to marry a girl who is a great fighter and doesn’t like him very much. It is a great story.
3. Rurouni Kenshin
Another one of my favorites. This story follows a samurai who swore never to kill again. Of course, old enemies rise and it is a little hard to keep his promise. Beautiful and amazing.
4. Yu Yu Hakusho
It was the second anime I followed when I was a kid. My mom thought it was too ‘boyish’ for me, but I loved the see the fighting tournaments. The scenes were great and the main character was a great anti-hero at the beginning.
5. Saint Saiya.
My first anime. I think I was eight years old when I watched it at first. My mom also thought it wasn’t good for me. Little did she know, I watch it to this day!
